Welcome Jason Berl and family to the Sojourn Church team!

I’m excited to announce that Jason Berl will be joining the Sojourn Church staff team. Jason is a gifted leader who will be a helpful addition to the Sojourn Church staff as we continue to grow and reach more people with the life-transforming message of the gospel.

Currently, Jason and his family reside in Orlando, FL where Jason is completing his Master of Divinity degree program at Reformed Theological Seminary. The Berl's plan to move to Warner Robins in July at which time Jason will begin serving as the Executive Director of Sojourn Church.

Below is a brief bio about Jason and his family. Welcome to the team, Berl family!

The Berl Family

Jason was born and raised in Moultrie, GA, and he began loving and trusting in Jesus during his sophomore year of high school. He attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA, where he met his wife Bonnie. Jason and Bonnie got married in May of 2009, and both began teaching for Bibb County Schools that same year. Jason taught high school for two years before moving his family to Orlando, FL to attend seminary at RTS, where he is currently studying Counseling and Biblical Studies. His son Bryce was born in 2011 shortly after the move to Orlando, and the family is expecting their second son Blake to arrive this coming June.

God began growing and strengthening Jason's desire to serve in a local church in college and during his years in Macon. He has served as a Missional Community Leader and has led several therapy groups at his churches in Macon and Orlando. He is also a counseling intern at the Oviedo Counseling Clinic. He plans to finish at RTS in May, welcome baby Blake into the world in June, and move to Warner Robins a few weeks later. Jason is extremely excited to be joining the Sojourn church family and serving as Executive Director.

Most of his free time is spent hanging out with Bonnie or wrestling with Bryce, He also enjoys reading a good book, fishing, and watching or playing a variety of sports.
