In case you missed it last Sunday, we are excited to announce that Anna Parrish will be joining the Sojourn Church Staff Team as the Sojourn Kids Ministry Director. She will be replacing Pastor Patrick McConnell who has served faithfully over the last several months but will be transitioning out of this position in order to focus on other things. A special thanks to Pastor Patrick and his family for their willingness to serve!
If you want to know a little more about Anna, check out the brief bio below. Welcome, Anna!
Anna grew up as the child of missionaries in a small town in Nigeria, West Africa. God called her to himself at an early age and Anna was thrilled to assist her parents on mission in Nigeria. Upon returning to Georgia, Anna attended Georgia Southern University where she obtained a degree in Special Education. Anna met Steven and they were married in 2010.
Anna and Steven moved to Middle GA in 2011 when Anna obtained a job teaching special education in Houston county, and began searching for a church that preached the Gospel. They consider themselves very blessed for God’s grace in leading them to Sojourn Church.
Anna and Steven love children and have a heart to share the Gospel with those around them and see the Gospel transform the world. They are currently in the process of expanding their family through international adoption. Anna considers it a blessing to be able to serve the church and its families by coordinating the children’s ministry.
In her free time, Anna enjoys working as a birth doula, hiking, canoeing, riding a tandem bike with Steven, reading, and playing the ukulele.
